Looking for a list of Bonfire Night and Firework Events that are taking place in and around the Yorkshire Dales this year?

Here you’ll find all the fireworks displays, bonfires, and silent events both free and ticketed that are on offer across the Yorkshire Dales National Park and its bordering towns.

Gunpowder, treason and plot… It’s BONFIRE TIME!

That’s right, it’s the time of year when us Brits all channel our inner Prodigy vibes and turn into a twisted firestarter…. setting everything on FIIIIIIRE to remember the time when a moustachioed dude nearly (but didn’t) blow up the houses of Parliament!

It’s BONFIRE NIGHT BABY! (N.B. to non-Brits: we don’t actually set EVERYTHING on fire, just huge piles of discarded stuff, with the effigy of a man placed on the top…. see? We’re not THAT crazy.)

Anyway, slightly creepy British traditions aside, here you’ll find a list of all of the organised firework displays taking place in any around the Yorkshire Dales, both ticketed and free! So you’ll find firework events from Sedbergh to Reeth and from Richmond to Ilkley! All right here!

Yorkshire Dales Bonfires and Fireworks 2026: Swaledale, Wensleydale and Richmond

Saturday 7th November 2026 (TBC for 2026)

West Burton Bonfire: Wensleydale

West Burton is a free event, but donations are welcome. BBQ and drinks at the Fox and Hounds Pub

Location: West Burton Village Green

Bonfire Lit: 6.30pm

Fireworks 7.15pm

Bedale Community Fireworks

Fireworks are set off to music against the impressive backdrop of Bedale Hall.

Location: Bedale Hall & Park

Entertainment From 5.15pm

Sunday 1st November 2026

Upper Dales Bonfire & Fireworks - Hawes, Wensleydale

Hawes bonfire is a free event, a suggested donation of £3 is welcome.

Location: Hawes Community Field (Dales Countryside Museum)

Gates open at 6pm.

Bonfire Lit: 6.45pm

Thursday 5th November 2026

Richmond: North Yorkshire

Richmond’s bonfire is organised by Richmond Town Council. Free with a suggested donation of £1/ adult.

Location: Richmond School

Gates: 6pm

Fireworks: 7pm

Reeth Bonfire: Swaledale

Reeth bonfire is a free event. Donations are welcome. BBQ throughout the night.

Leyburn: Wensleydale

Leyburn’s bonfire night is a free event, but donations are welcome.

West Witton Bonfire: Wensleydale

West Witton bonfire is a free event, but donations are welcome. Hot food and a licensed bar will be available from 6pm.

Location: West Witton Playing Fields

Yorkshire Dales South Bonfires and Fireworks 2026: Ilkley, Addingham, Skipton, Otley

Friday 6th November 2026

Ilkley Cricket Club

This free event is hosted by the Cricket Club. Food and drink is available, entry is from 5pm, bar opens at 5pm, with pie and peas from 6pm.

Location: Ilkley Cricket Club from 5pm

Yorkshire Dales West Bonfires and Fireworks 2026: Westmorland Dales

Thursday 5th November 2026

Sedbergh School Fireworks

Location: Busk Lane, between School House and Sedgwick House

Bonfire Lit: 6.30pm

Fireworks from 7pm

Yorkshire Dales: Nidderdale and Harrogate

Harrogate, Nidderdale and Yorkshire Dales East

Saturday 7th November 2026:

Harrogate Bonfire:

Annual Stray fireworks event will include a bonfire. Entry is free, but a collection will be taken proceeds will be going to Mind in Harrogate and Samaritans Harrogate. There will be live music and food and drinks.

Location: The Stray along Oaklands Drive

Start time: 5pm

Fireworks: 7pm

Pateley Bridge:

Arranged by the Upper Nidderdale Scouts Group, the bonfire is free, although donations are welcome. Food and drinks available.

Location: Pateley Bridge Showground

Start Time: 6pm

Bonfire lit: 6.30pm

Fireworks: 7pm

All of these Bonfire Night events require tickets or payment on the gate. A lot are community fundraising events.

Thursday 5th November 2026

Garsdale Village Hall

Location: Garsdale Road, near Sedbergh (Western Yorkshire Dales National Park)

Prices: £5/ adult Under 16s go free.

Bonfire Lit: 7pm

Fireworks 7.15pm

Hot food and drinks available.

Sunday 1st November 2026 (TBC for 2026)

Otley RUFC

Location: Cross Green

Price: £10/ person £30 for a family of 4

Kirkby Lonsdale RUFC

Prices £25 per car, under 14s are free, adults £5 on the door. You can book online from the Rugby Club’s website.

Friday 6th November 2026

Thornton Hall Farm (ALSO 7th NOVEMBER)

Location: Thornton in Craven, Skipton

Price: Adult £14.95 Child £14.95 Under 3 £9.95

The ticket includes choreographed lightshow and bonfire. Children’s entertainment, street theatre, live music and sparkler zone. There is also a family and adults only bar. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Ilkley Tennis Club ABBA Bonfire Bonanza

This is now a ticketed event, and this year as well as fireworks, you’ll find an ABBA tribute band fireworks set to music, and street food and bars from local businesses.

Tickets: £12.50 for adults in advance (tickets not yet on sale - price as of 2025)

Under 16s free but still need a ticket.

Location: Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club

Addingham Cricket Club

Ilkley: Ashlands Primary School

There will be hot and cold food and live music.

Location: Leeds Road, Ilkley

Price: Adult £6/ person Child £5/ person under 5s Free Family ticket £20 - all proceeds go to Ashlands School and include bonfire, firework display and live music.
